In a dominating performance, the Masuk Boys secured a convincing 67-43 win against Barlow, showcasing their prowess on the basketball court. The return of Tyler Newsom after a two-week recovery period added a new dimension to the Masuk lineup, as he delivered an outstanding performance, scoring 29 points and grabbing 11 rebounds, looking healthier and more formidable than ever.

Newsom's impact was felt throughout the game, as his size and quickness proved to be too much for the Barlow defenders to handle. Not only did he excel in the paint, but Newsom also showcased his shooting range by connecting on three three-point attempts, adding versatility to his offensive arsenal.

Mitch D'Bernardo, Masuk's steady point guard, contributed significantly to the team's success, adding 7 points, 10 rebounds, and orchestrating the offense with 8 assists. D'Bernardo's well-rounded performance complemented Newsom's dominance on the court, highlighting the team's depth and cohesion.

Masuk coach Pete Sklarz expressed optimism about his team's chances moving forward with Newsom back in action and playing on fresh legs. The star player's return brings a renewed sense of confidence to the team, but Sklarz also recognizes the importance of other players stepping up to fill the gaps in the lineup.

Ethan Palma and Colin Francisco have stepped up in the absence of Center Matt Domenichelli, who recently suffered an ankle injury. The coach emphasized the need for a collective effort to compensate for the temporary loss of Domenichelli and maintain the team's competitive edge.

As the regular season winds down, Masuk finds itself with a 10-9 record, and Coach Sklarz believes that the best basketball from his team is yet to be played. The return of Newsom, coupled with the potential contributions from other key players, sets the stage for an exciting and promising stretch as Masuk gears up for the challenges that lie ahead in the remainder of the season and, ultimately, the playoffs.
