Cadets Extend Impressive Record to 18-1 Overall, 13-1 in FCIAC

In a dominant display of skill and teamwork, the St Joseph High School girls' basketball team secured a decisive 48-29 victory over McMahon, further solidifying their outstanding season with an 18-1 overall record and an impressive 13-1 standing in the FCIAC league.


The Cadets showcased their depth on the court, with a balanced scoring effort from key players. Gigi Gracia's precision beyond the arc and Grace Montelli's consistent performance played pivotal roles in securing the win for St Joseph. The team's offensive strategy, marked by strategic plays and efficient ball movement, reflected their collective prowess.


The game's progression showcased St Joseph's ability to maintain control in each quarter. Starting strong with a 14-8 lead, the Cadets continued to build on their advantage throughout the game, with a well-executed offensive and defensive strategy that limited McMahon to 29 points by the final buzzer.


Key highlights of the game included Erin Donegan's dominant presence in the paint, contributing 9 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Abby Savoie displayed her all-around skills with 7 rebounds, 3 steals, and 4 assists, adding depth to the Cadets' performance.
